The internet provides us with many things and one of those things is freedom of speech. Within reason, we can go on the internet and say whatever we want, because of this new found freedom, rebels have taken the to internet by storm.

One major event that has happened in the last decade that has added fuel to the fire is the September 11th attacks. Because there is so much mystery and false information that clouds the attacks, many people rebel against the general consensus that it was a terrorist attack.
Instead people try to establish conspiracy theories about what really happened. This is a modern form of rebellion. A person simply going against the popular truth is a form of rebellion, so is suggesting a revolution.
It doesn't matter how big or small the rebellion is, the smallest amount of insubordination can classify one as a rebel. This is why there are so many rebels in our society today, simply because they refuse to go along with the popular consensus on certain issues or topics. You may not even know it, but simply by having a certain opinion on a topic, you may be classified as a rebel.
