Food across the world is very diverse, from mild dishes in France and Western Europe to hot, spicy specialties in India and Asia. The same can be said about rebellions. Some rebellions are rather mild and usually end up being protests or ad campaigns. Other times they can turn into violence and death.
Rebels have a certain attitude that many people simply do not understand. Rebels do not care about gourmet food such as French pate they are more interested in sending a message that the world will see. However it should be noted that French revolutionaries always had a desire to eat fine foods and drink good wine, even in dire times.
In violent rebellions, the most common move by revolutionists is a kidnapping. After the kidnapping they will demand that the government give up something in return for the captives life. Sometimes the governments give in to their demands, other times they do not.
If a government wants to send a strong message to the rebels they should not negotiate with them. Negotiating with rebels and terrorists gives the impression to others that they can also bargain for something. Within time the legitimacy of the government could be questioned.
Thankfully not all rebellions end in bloodshed. In today's society we normally see people express themselves online, through the food they eat or through the clothes that they wear in public.
